king of the road

so in addition to losing my human love of my life to new york, i also sold my car this week. it was a fabulous forest green 1972 mercedes 300 sel that i bought for $700 from my boss. it grumbled and stuttered. it was a boat. a beast. a bitch to park. but one hell-of-a fun car to drive! it made it to and from santa cruz, reno, the marin headlands, and all up down and around san francisco and the east bay. on sunday, lisa and i drove up to twin peaks to get a few shots of it reigning regally over the city...






i burned a nice wad of cash having it towed, getting it out of the freaking lot after being towed, but luckily no major problems occurred...yet. which is why it needs to go. i just can't take car of him anymore! it was my first car (and my last for a while....) and i'll never forget the memories we made together. goodbye, my friend. i will miss you, but i know you are going to a good home that will spruce you up. call me after your makeover!
