after i posted those holiday covers i googled giusti, the small signature at the bottom of several of my fave covers. turns out george giusti was an graphic designer/sculptor/artist who produced several covers for time and fortune, as well as holiday.
i found this online design archive from the rochester institute of technology that has cataloged several pages of his sketchbooks. aren't they great? i love seeing the process towards the final product. his eye for color and shape is sharp, it makes me want to draw again!
